Togetherness
It feels good to be in a quiet place
Where I can feel the beauty in your face;
Lets turn away from this noisy city
From the wars and greed and enmity.
Lets find our heaven right where we stand
Lets face the battles hand in hand
And know that love will survive the ages;
We can find our calm as the battle rages,
I have dreamt of something I can't explain
A power that in darkness will sustain-
I lost the emerald dappled country days
They faded into the sunlit haze
Of the fading times I cannot recall
But I know that no matter what may befall
I will find you in every passing breath
I will spurn the whispered call of death.
Something stronger than the things we fear
Is in my soul and drawing so very near-
Who are we in the gathering fields of spring
I know somehow we will become everything?
